Plane over Battersea Power Station
It took a long, long tie to get the shot I wanted on this day. I headed to Battersea Power Station with my wide-angle lens having noticed that the flight path of planes landing in London seemed to go right above the building. My goal was to get the dark plane in the middle of the towers, silhouetted against white clouds. Easier said than done, but the outcome was one of my favourite shots I've taken of the old power station.
The decommissioned coal-fired power station is located on the south bank of the River Thames and is the largest brick building in Europe. Lying dormant for many years it is now being turned into apartments and shops within the preserved facade of the original structure.
